The objectives of this workshop was to get an overview of research currently in progress and the possibilities for projects to be implemented, particularly for the CNES R&T 2018 campaign.The topics covered were :

  • The steps remaining to create a TP composite suitable for space applications? radiation resistance? creep?
  • Processes?
  • The TPs used in space and why?
  • To gain a thorough understanding of current research into thermoplastic assembly, the obstacles, solutions that have been looked into, prospects for the future,
  • To present research currently in progress into the functionalisation of TPs.
