COMET CYB's next event "Cybersecurity governance for space programs" will be held june, the 29th.
Space Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) allows dispatching a secret crypto key between a satellite and a ground site or vice versa, while insuring an absolute security thanks to quantum physics and information theory. This session adressed a tutorial, new trends, space experiments and applications to come in this area, part of the rising optical space communications domain ! A panel of international satellite QKD experts were present their research activities in the area. Technical questions to better understand QKD and compare different techniques were discussed with the audience
